Napalm Girl is the famous girl depicted in the Vietnam Era photograph by Associated Press photographer Huynh Cong "Nick" Ut, depicting a naked Vietnamese girl running naked after a napalm attack. The picture has been iconic since 1972 and helped capture the atrocities of the Vietnamese War. The picture was used as propaganda by the Northern Vietnamese government under Ho Chi Minh, as well as subsequently used in human rights and anti-war campaigns.

The picture marks its 40th anniversary on June 8, 2012.
