Thailand's fist transgender politician to win a senate seat for Nan Provincial Administrative organisation (PAO), the highest political office ever won by a transgender person in the country. Named Kirkkong Suanyos on her government ID card, Nok went through a sex change operation to become a woman at the age of 16. She was named Miss Alcazar in 2000, the equivalent of Miss Universe of Thailand. She is the president of Trans Female Association of Thailand and a PhD candidate in social sciences at Ramkhamhaeng University.

In addition to being an activist fighting for the rights of all, including transgender and homosexual people, she is also a successful business person, running her own jewellery and satellite-TV businesses at the age of 30.
