An international programme in cooperation with Mexico and Canada to protect, restore, enhance, and manage wetland ecosystems for migratory birds and other wildlife and fish. It was authorised by the North American Wetlands Conservation Act of 1989. This programme is administered by the Fish and Wildlife Service, and USDA agencies participate as appropriate.
