Nuremberg is a city in the German state of Bavaria and is situated about 170km (110 miles) north of Munich. Its population is over 500,000 and is well known for both its Nazi rallies, due to the city's proximity to the centre of the country, and the Nuremberg Trials, where German officials accused of war crimes and being involved in the Holocaust were tried.
