A rival to the secret-leaking website, WikiLeaks, Openleaks is set to launch on Monday, December 13, 2010. Founded by several ex-principals of WikiLeaks, the new site will be hosted at www.openleaks.org. Just like WikiLeaks, Openleaks will focus on leaking sensitive documents from governments, corporations, organizations and religious groups to the public.

According to an anonymous source at Openleaks, the site's long-term goal is to build a strong, transparent platform to support whistleblowers -- both in terms of technology and politics -- while at the same time encouraging others to start similar projects.
