PSY arrogant dance
A hip-shaking dance move performed by PSY in his 2013 music video "Gentleman" as a follow-up single to his wildly successful "Gangnam Style". The choreography for "Gentleman" was originally introduced to Korean culture via K-pop girl group Brown Eyed Girls, who shook their hips in their 2009 hit "Abracadabra." PSY named the performance as the "arrogant dance" because the big dose of 'attitude' he displayed in the video.
Gentleman was unveiled at a concert in Seoul on April 12, 2012 before more than 50,000 fans. The music video was simultaneously released in 119 countries, hoping to replicate the success of Gangnam Style, the smash YouTube hit that made PSY an international star almost overnight last year. Brown Eyed Girls member and K-pop superstar Ga-In also appeared in "Gentleman" to help PSY along with his dance steps.
