Basing on the numerous activities that took place during his reign, Ramesses the Great is considered one of the most important rulers of Egypt. His name is found on almost every site in Egypt. The temples at Abu Simbel, which are considered to be one of the most spectacular monuments in Egypt, were constructed during his reign. One of the most repeated facts about him is that he had over 200 wives and concubines.
