SPL
Sound pressure level. A measure of sound intensity. SPL is commonly expressed as a ratio in decibels relative to 0 dB SPL, or as an absolute level in Pascals (Pa). Although SPL is sometimes used to approximately indicate loudness, the correlation of SPL to loudness is complex due to perceptual factors. See also weighting.
