Sara Green

Sara Green is a Canadian-born author with dual citizenship (Canada and USA). As a animal lover and wildlife protection advocate, Green's books usually deal with animals and nature. Her first and second novels, Riding Lessons and Flying Changes, involved horses; both of these books was published by Avon Books. Her third and most well-known novel, Water for Elephants, was rejected from Avon Books, causing Green to look for a new publisher (Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill). Water for Elephants would go on to become a New York Times Bestseller, available in 44 languages, and adapted into a film. Her fourth and latest book is Ape House.
