Shigeru Miyamoto
Shigeru Miyamoto is a video game developer best known for creating the Mario franchise, as well as the Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pikmin and other famous series'.
Born in 1952, he joined Nintendo not long after obtaining his degree from Kanazawa College of Art and soon established himself as a creative force with the creation of Donkey Kong. Since then he has been a key developer in many Nintendo franchises and consoles.
He has received numerous awards for his work, such as being made a Chevalier in the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and made a Fellow of BAFTA.
In his free time he enjoys playing several instruments and dog breeding. He is married with two children.
