Singles Day (One's Day or Guang Gun Jie in Chinese) is a Chinese pop culture holiday on November 11 for people who are single. Its origins are at various universities in Nanjing during the 1990s. It is celebrated the 11 of November because the date consists in four numbers one (11.11).

The main way to celebrate Singles Day is to have dinner with your single friends, but it's important that each person pay their own to show their independence. People also go to 'blind date' parties in to say goodbye to their single lives.
