South Korea

South Korea is a sovereign state in East Asia, located on the southern portion of the Korean Peninsula. It is neighbored by the People's Republic of China (Mainland China) to the west, Japan to the east, North Korea to the north, and the East China Sea and Republic of China (Taiwan) to the south. Its capital is Seoul, which is also its largest city.

The country has the 14th largest GDP in the world and is one of the fastest growing. They are the sixth largest exporter in the world which allowed them to be one of the few countries to not enter a recession in recent years, dipping to a low of +0.2%.

It boasts on of the highest population densities in the world at 487 people per sqkm - ten times the global average. Like North Korea, the demographic makeup is excessively homogenous with 99% of residents being of Korean descent. Their birthrate is the lowest in the world at 9 births per 1,000 people every year.
