T-ray
T-rays are a new form of wireless data transmission in the terahertz band, which have recently been tested in Japan. The data rate is 20 times higher than the best commonly used wi-fi standard and could see a transfer rate of 100Gb/second. This is fifteen times higher than the best transmission device currently under development. At the moment, T-rays only have a range of 10 metres and remain unregulated by telecommunications companies.
