Taishan Dong

Taishan Done (born 1988, birth name Dong Jianjun) is a 7-foot Chinese heavyweight boxer. Born in Lanzhou China, Dong weighs 285 pound and stands at 6 foot 11 inches to be exact. As a former kickboxer and a university wrestling champion, he decided to enter the sport of boxing at age 23. He chose his ring name Taishan because the mountain symbolizes strength and height in China. Following the successful example of Chinese basketball star Yao Ming, he came to the U.S. at age 25 to advance his professional boxing career by working with pro coach Buddy McGirt.

On July 18, 2014, Dong made is professional debut, beating Alex Rozman with a second-round TKO. Dong dropped Rozman three times in the fight.

On November 14, 2014, Dong knocked out Tommy Washington in the first round during his second professional fight.

Given his height and with the right training, Dong has the potential to become boxing world's next superstar.
