The Road to El Dorado
The Road to El Dorado is a animated adventure musical comedy film Directed by Eric "Bibo" Bergeron and Will Finn, with additional sequences by Don Paul and David Silverman, starring Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh, and Rosie Perez, and produced by DreamWorks. The musical team consisted of pieces by Tim Rice Hans Zimmer and Elton John, the same team which worked on The Lion King.
The film starts in the south of Spain with Miguel and Tulio two men who win a map with the location of the mythical golden city of El Dorado during a dice game. When it is discovered the dice are loaded they flee as stowaways on Hernan Cortez's ship on his mission to conquer Mexico. When they arrive they flee with Cortez's horse and find the city where they are mistaken for gods. The film draws its inspiration from Rudyard Kipling's The Man Who Would Be King.
