Venipede is an insectoid, larvae-like Pokémon, with a pronounced bend or hump on the upper part of its body. The upper part of its body is mainly magenta, with black circles and markings on its 'shoulders', neck, and antennae. Its eyes have pronounced eyelids and yellow scleras. The lower part of a Venipede's body is segmented, and coloured a slightly bluish green. Venipede have four pairs of stubby black legs, and their two magenta tails have black banding.
