Vincent Descombes is a French philosopher, born in 1943, specialising in the philosophy of language andaction. Director of Studies at at the High school in Social Sciences, he is a member of the Centre for Political Research Raymond Aro.
He is also an associate member of the famous institute "Jean-Nicod" and received the "Grand Prix de Philosophie" (philosophy grand prize) in 2005.
