The Yomiuri Shimbun is a national newspaper of Japan and is the most circulated out of the five most popular national newspapers. The newspaper was founded in 1874 and has the largest newspaper circulation in the world with a combined morning and evening circulation of over 14 million in 2002. Its headquarters are in Tokyo.
