Anthrax

An often-lethal disease caused by coming into contact with spores of the soil-borne bacterium Bacillus anthracis. The disease has been much reduced in the wild due to successful vaccination programmes against animals, although it has resurfaced as a lethal biological weapon in the second half of the 20th Century to present.
