Alternate term for Loosening of association. A milder form of derailment of thought, in which a person goes on jumping from one topic to another and there is little connexion among the topics. This is in contrast to flight of ideas where a person jumps from one topic to another and there is a connexion among the topics. See also Entgleisen term introduced by (Cameron).
