A hairless Barbie doll created for a four year old girl who lost her hair after treatment for cancer. Barbie may be best-known for her long blonde hair, but the bald doll helps to raise awareness and acceptance about the girls' hair-loss.

The movement was launched by several women whose daughters were dealing with hair loss or were dealing with it themselves. They launched the Facebook page Beautiful and Bald Barbie! before Christmas in 2011. The campaign quickly grew into a nationwide movement.
