Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA)
This is a method for the estimation of how much body fat is present in a person, by passing a safe electric current through their body. The flow of the electricity is made more difficult by higher amounts of fat, and conversely, the current's flow is easier if less amounts of fat are present. So the flow of current is then measured to provide the body fat percent reading.
