Body english
Signals given by a golfer's posture immediately after making contact with the ball that tell the educated observer what the golfer thought of his/her swing.
Also refers to the gyrations some golfers make after the ball is struck in a vain effort to influence the trajectory of the ball during flight.
For example, a pronounce bending backwards of the torsoe from the knees up generally indicates that the ball has sliced. This pose can also be seen on the putting green should the ball roll just to the edge of the hole as it runs out of momentum.
