A term describing a signature element on some roller coasters designed by Bolliger and Mabillard. The cobra roll is a double inversion similar to Arrow's boomerang element. Riders are enter the element and are sent upside down twice and leaving going in the opposite direction they were as they entered. The design of the element looks like the hood of a striking cobra.
