A term coined by Ronald Langacker to refer to the cognitive representation of time, where time is an object of conceptualization. Conceived time contrasts with the notion of processing time.

Langacker argues that there are two types of conceived time, depending upon how events are accessed or processed: these are sequential scanning and summary scanning.
