Concierge service

It is a rather old term, borrowed to the traditional hotel industry. By concierge service, we designate a service from the hotel, which can make all kind of steps on behalf of the client. Thus, it can be from the reservation of a table in a restaurant, to the searching of a baby-sitter, via a plane ticket booking. . . Today, the concierge service is provided by the reception but there are still some hotels in Paris which have a concierge service distinct from the reception. The "chef concierge" is said to be the man with golden keys( referring to the needlepoint badge on the lapel of his jacket collar, which indicates that he belongs to the "Clefs d'Or" association).
