Damsel bug

Damsel bugs resemble small assassin bugs, but have a much slimmer body shape. They are usually brown or tan color. The legs are relatively long and the front pair is enlarged to capture prey. The antennae have four segments and beak (rostrum) also has four segments. The beak is held underneath the body when at rest and extended to pierce prey. The species shown here was found looking for prey around an outdoor house lamp at night.
