Decimation philtre

The Decimation philtre is designed to provide decimation without the severe artefacts associated with throwing data away although artefacts still exist. (See the definition of Decimation.) The Decimation philtre process still throws data away but reduces image artefacts by smoothing out the voltage steps between sampled points.
