A personal computer designed for nonportable use, usually equipped with a built-in hard disk, one or more diskette drives, a CD-ROM drive, and a fax/modem. It generally uses an external cathode-ray-tube display, printer, and keyboard. The power supply is intended for use with 117-volt utility circuits.
