DVD Technology provides storage capacity that is about 6-7 times greater than that of CD technology with the same aerial space. It provides multiple languages on movies, with multiple language subtitles. A beam of laser light touches the disc and data portion of a DVD disc is never touched by a mechanical part when played eliminating wear characteristics on the disc.
