Green peach aphid

The green peach aphid is pale yellow-green or mid green (and can also be pink or almost black). The body is oval shaped with long siphunculi. Winged alates have black patch on the back. When viewed with a hand lens or microscope, you can see a small tubercle at the junction of the antenna and head of the green peach aphid. It is a pest of a number of agricultural crops and is often confused with the cotton aphid. The green peach aphid causes more severe stunting of cotton plants than the cotton aphid and is resistant to a range of insecticides.
