Helmsman
Member of crew who is responsible for handling the rudder, for steering the ship. The helmsman is also called 'the rudder man' in small ships, the helmsman acts directly in the tiller; however, in moving ships, the necessary effort to spin the rudder is very big. So it is necessary to instal a handling device which allows an only man to handle the ship easily.
