Short for involuntary celibacy. It refers to a person who has been rendered celibate against their will, either because they cannot find another person that they find attractive (such as in all male prisons, where the prisoner is strictly heterosexual), or because they cannot attract somebody to have sex with them. Incel individuals will often be extremely frustrated with their situation, which can lead to depression and anger. In extreme cases it can lead to instances of rape or other forms of sexual assault.
