The section of the coaster that contains some device or mechanism that pulls or pushes the roller coaster train up a hill. The majority of lifthills uses a chain connected to a motor that pulls the train to the top. Some roller coasters contain multiple lifthills and the lifthill may be midcourse or at the end of the circuit.
