Lissal

Exudate of an insectlike symbiont of the frelei tree, spun into fibre or mixed with various resins to increase tensile strength and water resistance. The pure fibres make an extremely fine cloth, but are very expensive. More commonly, lissal fibre is spun into mixed thread with denni or other yarns.
