Lower pantographs signals
A distant signal, an execution signal and an end-of-section signal are used when lowering pantographs (especially common on the continent); these signals may be fixed or mobile, aspects or semaphores. The lower pantograph distant signal tells the driver to have the pantographs lowered upon reaching the execution signal. The execution signal indicates the start of the catenary section to be crossed with the pantographs lowered. The end-of-section signal indicates the end of the catenary section to be crossed with the pantographs lowered, meaning that the pantographs can be raised after the signal has been passed. A lower pantographs signal is used when switching between two types of current so as to cross the section in between without the catenary.
