Despite being active as artists since 1992 they did not release their first album until 2004. The hip hop/dance-duo consists of Norwegians Yosef Wolde-Mariam and Tshawe Baqwa. Madcon is short for Mad Conference. They have supported various artists all over the world throughout their career, but it was first in 2008 when they released their version of the 1967's hit "Beggin" that they personally became international recognised artists.
