Mirror clock

Also known as looking-glass clock. A term used almost exclusively in connexion with New Hampshire wall clocks cased in frames with split columns on all four sides, usually with corner blocks mounted with brass rosettes, and containing a looking-glass front and decorated dial glass. The period of their popularity was 1825-38. They were eight-day, both strikers and timepieces, all weight-operated.
