The catcher is the only player to wear a Mitt, all the rest of the players wear gloves. The Mitt does not have a place to put individual fingers in, rather, it has a big open area where all the index fingers go and the thumb does have a place all for itself. The Mitt can't be over 15.5 inches from the bottom of the glove to the top.
