Pink bellied moth

The pink bellied moth varies in colour from pink to brown. They have a brown or yellow line across the upper surface of each wing. The forewings curve upwards at the tips. the underside of the wings has a large dark purple blotch under each forewing, and a dark line under each hindwing. Caterpillars are brown with a black band along the back scattered with white dots. There are also pairs of pale spots on the thorax, and abdomen with small horns projecting from the spots.
