Pole prune

Designed to prune dead or unwanted branches high in trees, this is a long pole with two cutting blades on the end, with a rope or cord attached to one of the blades. When this rope is pulled, the blades come together and the branch is cut. There are many different lengths of pole pruners, some even offer a telescoping feature that greatly extends its reach.
