Quality index method (QIM)
A demerit points system for rating the quality of fish products. A system was first developed in New Zealand, but it has been adopted in recent years by laboratories in Europe and Scandinavia. The method has been developed mostly for raw, chilled fish, but systems exist for frozen fish.
