Regenerative braking

An advanced type of braking system that is found on electric or hybrid vehicles, it works together with an electric motor to slow the vehicle and, at the same time, recapture the vehicle’s energy to help recharge the hybrid’s battery. With this type of brake system, the hydraulic brakes usually operate in only the last few moments of braking for great braking performance and reduced wear on the front brake pads.
