Relational predication
In cognitive grammar, a relational predication relates to the schematic meaning encoded by lexical classes such as verbs, adjectives, prepositions and so on (relations). The term 'predication' relates to meaning and refers to the semantic pole of a symbolic assembly. Relational predications are conceptually dependent. Relational predications are divided into two sub-categories: temporal relations and atemporal relations.
