Refers to the action that needs to be taken by train crews to secure a line that has been obstructed but not taken into account by the signalling system. Operations control and the signaller must both be notified. If the signaller cannot be contacted, the driver must display a red light or flag 1.25 miles from the obstruction and place a track circuit operating clip and detonators on the line.
