An approach to drug discovery. Pairs of low affinity molecules, each having an affinity constant in the micromolar range and binding to discrete areas of a biomolecule, as determined by NMR, are combined in various ways to happen upon a hybrid molecule that allows both ligands to attach and has a binding constant in the nanomolar range.
