Tri-gate transistor

New transistor designed by Intel to reduce boost frequency and/or or reduce power in microprocessors. The transistor extends the semiconductor material in 3D, increasing the conductivity of the material and raising contact area with the transistor gate. This will resolve the issue of confusion between leakage current in "off" states and the low-current "on" states in traditional transistor. Tri-gate transistors can switch between states much faster while still producing a clear string of ons and offs, and/or use much reduced power (up to 50%).
