A Greek or Turkish dish that is consumed as a dip, condiment, or appetizer; strained yoghurt that in its most basic state of completion, is a combination of yoghurt and cucumbers with some seasoning, though mint, lemon juice, pepper, parsley, walnuts or dill can be added as optional ingredients.
