Wet and dry paper

A slightly misleading name given to a waterproof abrasive paper which is almost always used WET. Mostly used for rubbing down paintwork as part of the preparation. More commonly used with a bucket of water to which some soap or washing up liquid has been added. The soap helps prevent the paper from clogging with removed paint particles.
