A member in the family of ibises and spoonbills (Threskiornithidae), the white-headed stork or Asian wood ibis, Ibis leucocephalus, of India, south-west China and northern Malaya, has crown, cheques and bare throat coloured creamy to orange yellow, the wings, breast-band and tail black. The wing-coverts have a conspicuous white border.
